PuriKoko is a free improvising, avant-pop duo featuring native New Yorkers, Ariel Vera on voice and electronics and Alex Yoo on drums and electronics. Coming out of New England Conservatory, PuriKoko’s music is a menagerie of genres. By incorporating sonic ideas influenced by hip hop, funk, free jazz, and electronic music, PuriKoko hopes to create a blend of styles unique and relatable to a diverse audience. PuriKoko is currently working on their debut EP to be released in Fall 2024.
